Largo Police Capture Purse Snatcher
Jesse T. Carlisle, 29, of Largo is being held in the robbery of a woman in Largo December 30. Carlisle is accused of taking her purse as she was walking to her car and later using her gift card to buy food.
Largo Police arrested a man on Thursday for snatching the purse of a 68-year-old woman.
Jesse T. Carlisle, 29, is accused of forcibly taking the purse from the woman on December 30. The woman was walking to her car in the parking lot of the Publix at 12022 Indian Rocks Road.

At about 7:30 p.m., the woman was pushing a grocery cart. Carlisle approached her and demanded her purse.
When the woman refused, Carlisle forcibly pulled it from the cart. Carlisle then ran away the stolen purse. Returning less than an hour later, he attempted to access the victim's bank account with the stolen debit card.

In addition, Carlisle returned to the Publix the following day and used the victim's gift card to purchase food.
From witness descriptions, Largo Police Detectives were able to identify, locate and arrest Carlisle for Robbery and use of a Fraudulent Credit Card.
Carlisle is being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $17,000 bond.
