Super Target's Not Part of Plans For Midway Plaza in Largo

See what stores are coming to the redeveloped retail center in Largo.

However, plans to redevelop Midway Shopping Center include bringing in a TJ Maxx, LA Fitness and Dollar Tree, according to Equity Investment Group, the company that manages the retail space.

Plans include knocking down the former Publix building and creating new space for the LA Fitness as well as facade changes to the rest of the building, said Bob Sutton, executive vice president for Equity Investment Group.

The work is expected to start in the fall, he said. The LA Fitness would be open early in 2014 and the TJ Maxx by spring.

“They won’t make this Christmas,” Sutton said.
