Animal Services offers cool discounts during the Dog Days of August

Pinellas County Animal Services celebrates the month of August by offering a reduced adoption fee of $25 on shelter dogs and cats. The low cost adoption fee includes medical check-up, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, internal and external parasite control, heartworm testing and feline leukemia testing and micro chipping.

As part of the celebration, $5 rabies vaccinations with the purchase of a required license will be available for pets each Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Pinellas County Animal Services is located at 12450 Ulmerton Road in Largo. Normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the adoption center closing at 5:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and services include adoptions. Rabies vaccinations are administered on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. The facility is closed all Pinellas County holidays.
