Walkers! That is funny! A walker in Largo is pattered after the TV series, the
Walking Dead. A walker in Largo has a death wish. And, I am one of them going to the store on Seminole Blvd for groceries. I feel the hot breath of cars skimming the curb as I pray to make it round trip. The center should be set as a memorial to thos who did not make it across.
Why doesn't have the State of Florida wave a big banner that reads, If old, stay whre you are, if you are a walker, we do not want you. -

ReplyMore traffic on Seminole Blvd. That is great news. Then the center of the Blvd
can be lined with road memorials. Flowers and more flowers marching along
the center of Seminole Blvd as a memorial of those trying to get from one side to the other. Florida ranks number 1 in traffic fatalities across the nation. And, crossing Seminole Blvd from one side to the other becomes a death wish. But... don't take my
word, just check the facts.
Facts...just walk along the construction zone on Ulmerton and Seminole Blvd. One has about 30 seconds to cross a 6 lane road. Try that with a crutch or cane. Does anyone in Florida government have brains that work?
I dare try me and leave the car at home and try using the PSTA. I will take you there -

ReplyThe State of Florida ranks #1 in traffic fatalities. To me that suggests
that something is wrong somewhere leaving a lot of questions but no answers -

ReplyBalla's food was not the best so that is a good reason for closing, but the question is,
why so many others have failed in that location? All could not have the same reasons for closings as Ballas did, could they? -

ReplyAnother case in point. In the just viewed breaking news reported by Largo Patch,
another fatality at the Ulmerton Road Seminole Blvd intersection. Florida is doing great in keeping the #1 State leading all the others in traffic fatalities -

ReplyPerhaps I should have stated my opinion differently. It is reported that Florida
leads the national average in road fatalities, not exactly a thing to be proud of, but I would there are probably more road kills than gun kills in the state of Florida, but the headline catcher is of course guns. It will take more than education to address
traffic fatalities, a lot more. All anyone has to do is try to navigate around Largo
on foot and by bus. It won't take long to find a roadside memorial somewhere -

ReplyI hope one consideration would be is the placement or relocating the PSTA
bus locations. And the sore point is the construction area on Seminole Blvd and Ulmerton Road. Being a pedestrian, and too old to drive any longer, I refuse
to shop anywhere near Largo Mall. The way it set up is like having a sign reading
PEDESTRIANS NOT ALLOWED -

ReplyNo. Background checks scratches the surface. Those with mental disabilities
will still be able to purchase a weapon. The medical records of those with mental problems are locked and are accessed by no one. Those files cannot be opened by anyone which would include background checks for the purchase of weapons. And that is open to a heated debate. Do we want our lives to become an open book for all to read? Or do we look for other solutions to solve a problem such as giun control? -

ReplyOur elected officials must thing the general public is stupid. It is a scare tatic. Taxpayers gave more to victims of Huricane Sandy than what this cut is all about.
If spending is not cut, than watch out, "you ain't seen nuttin yet," We will end up paying taxes for everything, even the air we breathe.

Think of the benefits 3 more super stores would do.
Create more street traffic that the streets can handle.
'Drive the mom and pops stores of business. And, what I've seen
so far is the fact that parking is in front of the stores. So, if one cannot drive
anymore, and must take the PSATA, that person will have to walk and walk
through the parking lot just to get through the entrance. Now if one has several grocery bags, than that person has once again walk and walk through the parking lot
to get on the bus. Assuming there will be a PSTA bus stop. I promised myself
I would never go through that ordeal again Thar was two ears ago, I've never been to Walmart since.
