The greatest thing about the pringles container is it is too small and light for squirrels to prop themselves up on. I have many squirrels in the trees where I live and they tend to go to the open bird feeder that belongs to my neighbor because mine isn't as easy for them to balance on.

Thanks, Cherlene! So glad that you enjoy the articles. As far as hanging plants go the only thing that I can think of right off hand that might grow is wild sage. Although, I am not exactly sure that birds will seek refuge in it unless it is quite large. It is worth a try though! I'll keep an ear out for more hanging plant suggestions.
