The Missouri Avenue eatery boasts enough food and drink deals to make any fan, or family, happy. The group Valentine's Day wedding celebration, officiated by the Pinellas Clerk of the Circuit Court, gathered 30 couples to take the plunge into matrimony, although the ceremony had to be moved indoors due to rain. City leaders added about 4,520 square feet, considered easement, as part of plans for the city’s first Wawa convenience store, coming soon to Ulmerton Road. Realtor and Patch blogger Becky Paone isn't a fan of the West Bay location for a recently approved Chase Bank. 1. Gracie's Big Splash. This splashing fun event includes water slides, games, activities, music and a bake sale and is a fundraiser originally created for for Gracie Purdy who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2007 and died ten months later. The fundraiser continues to help other families with children with life-threatening illnesses. 2. Garage Sale & Health Fair in Largo. Pack up everything and bring it to the garage sale at the Southwest Recreation Complex (tables are still available) or come and browse the sale. At the same time, there will be a health and wellness fair, which will feature chair massages, ear and hearing scans, vision and glaucoma screenings, and more. 3. Night Hike. With over 100 clowns, rides and fair food at the 16th Annual Touch-a-Truck event at Largo Central Park, there will be tons of family fun.
Largo’s Central Park will transform into a family fun house on Saturday for the 16th Annual Touch-a-Truck day. The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 100 clowns including those from Largo’s Uptown Clown Alley will join in on the festivities. Kids will have the chance to climb, honk and get to know more about the city’s fleet. They will have the chance to see motorcycles, military vehicles a Bayflight helicopter. The city will also run the train rides along the park’s railroad and Rocketship car rides around the block. As a special treat hot air balloon rides will be given at the park’s Military Court of Honor from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for $10.
