UPDATE: Knife-Wielding Bank Robber Arrested, Police Say

Largo Police say the suspect flashed a knife and took money from the Fifth Third Bank on Ulmerton Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Updated, 5:49 p.m.: Largo Police say they have already arrested and charged a suspect in Wednesday's robbery.   Earlier: Largo Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect who they say flashed a knife and took money from an Ulmerton Road bank on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say the man presented a knife and demanded money at the Fifth Third Bank, 11281 Ulmerton Rd., just before 1 p.m. Wednesday. They say he fled on foot headed west across 113th Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a black man, about 5-foot-9 with a medium build. Authorities say he had a goatee and was wearing a thin black cap, dark-colored shorts, white tennis shoes and a white, long-sleeved shirt with thin black stripes and larger …

The following people were arrested on felony charges from Jan. 21-28. The reports are based on records collected from the Largo Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Jan. 21 Seth Emil Basham, 30, of Dunedin, was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery (domestic- pregnant female). Mitchell Mason Bingham, 37, of Largo, was arrested on a warrant from Leon County. He was released on a surety bond of $1,000. Dorothy Blake, 26, of Largo, was arrested on a warrant from Arapahoe County.  Bond was set at $6,000. Colleen Cristin Conroy, 28, was arrested on the charge of burglary with assault or battery. She was released on surety bond of $25,000. Maria N. Laskaris, 35, of St. Petersburg, was arrested on the charges of possession of methadone hydrochloride and retail theft. Bond was set at $2,150. Police: Man Pushes, Punches and Grabs Woman to Get Her Purse

A Clearwater man is accused of battering a woman and trying to take her purse at a Largo apartment complex, Largo Police report.

A Clearwater man is accused of attempting to steal his ex-girlfriend's purse, grabbing her hair and her body, pushing and punching her, Largo Police said. According to an arrest affidavit, David Michael Eustace, 36, was sitting in the car of a Largo apartment complex Jan. 28 with his ex-girlfriend, who reportedly owed Eustace money. When the woman tried to get out of the car, Eustace allegedly "chased after her and attempted to rip her purse off of her shoulder in an effort to get her money. (Eustace) then proceeded to batter the victim by grabbing her hair and pushing her in an effort to get the purse," police report. The suspect's ex-girlfriend ran up the stairs. Police: Man Removed Victim's Oxygen Mask

James Tadlock of Largo was arrested Jan. 26 and charged with aggravated battery on an elderly person.

A Largo man is accused of removing an elderly person's required oxygen mask, Largo Police said. According to the arrest affidavit, James Tadlock, 46, allegedly "removed (the) required oxygen mask by jerking it off of (the victim's) face. This caused a minor abrasion on the tip of (the victim's) ear. (Tadlock) then grabbed on (the victim's) arms causing minor red marks that were visible," police report. Tadlock was arrested Jan. 26 and charged with aggravated battery on an elderly person (domestic). Tadlock, who also uses the alias James Thomas Morrison, was awaiting trial in Pinellas County Jail as of Jan. 28 on a bond of $50,000, according to online sheriff's records. Police: Man Stabs Door, Refuses to Leave

A Largo man was arrested Jan. 28 and charged with burglary with aggravated assault.

A Largo man is accused of refusing to leave and stabbing the door of a Largo residence several times Jan. 28, according to a Largo Police report. Richard Thomas Bracey, 19, was visiting a woman when she allegedly asked him to "leave the residence due to him becoming 'threatening' per the victim," police said. According to the arrest affidavit, Bracey refused to leave even "after being asked more than 20 times" by the woman. He eventually left but stayed on the door step and kept the victim from shutting door, authorities said. Then Bracey allegedly "pulled out a pocket knife and began to scratch and stab the door several times. (Bracey) then forced his way past the victim into the residence and again refused to leave," according to the …

Police: Man Tries to Remove Woman's Clothing, Takes Phone, Money and Car

A man is accused of taking a phone, money and a car from a woman, according to arrest affidavits from Largo Police.

Jeffrey Thomas Macyowsky, 49, of Clearwater, is accused of entering a Belcher Road residence and taking a phone, money and car and pushing a female resident into a bedroom and attempting to remove her clothing, Largo Police said. According to an arrest affidavit, the woman tried to "break free" and go into a living room. She saw Macyowsky "looking at the cash in her purse. (The victim) stated she believed (Macyowsky) wanted to rape her, and she told him to take her money instead," the affidavit states. When the woman tried to call police, the suspect allegedly took her phone and told her not to. Macyowsky then allegedly took the woman's car keys and "fled outside, where he stole her vehicle as well," according to the affidavit. The alleged…

Robbery Duo Bites, Grabs, Punches and Scratches Store Employee, Police Say

The two were charged with strong arm robbery Jan. 9 at the Bealls Department Store in Largo, according to Largo Police.

A couple is accused of grabbing, punching, biting and scratching an employee of Bealls Department Store at the Largo Mall during a robbery attempt Jan. 9, according to Largo Police. Trevor Lee Groat, 38, of Pinellas Park, is accused of taking $195 of merchandise from the retailer. Jade Louise Stein, 28, of St. Petersburg also allegedly took $85 worth of money or property from the store, according to police. As the two left the retailer, police said, they were confronted by the store's loss prevention officer. The duo tried to get away from the employee, and in the process Stein allegedly bit, scratched, punched "and at one point grabb(ed) the victim's testicles," according to arrest affidavits. Police: Woman Powers Home with Neighbor's Electric Meter

A Largo woman was charged with stealing the meter from a vacant residence and using it to power her home after she couldn't pay her bill, according to police.

An unemployed Largo woman is accused of stealing an electric meter from a vacant residence and using it to provide electricity to her home, according to an arrest affidavit. Anne Louise Schaffner, 52, is accused of entering a vacant residence in her neighborhood and taking the electric meter, Largo Police said. Then she allegedly placed the neighbor's meter on her own residence so she could have electricity. After she was arrested, Schaffner admitted to stealing the meter, "for the sole purpose of producing electricity for her own residence. (Schaffner) admitted that she could not pay her own electric bill, which drove her to the theft," according to a police report. The total value of the electricity lost was $519.90, and the meter was …
