Police Dog Tracked Burglary Suspects, Police Say
A police dog helped find one suspect with a "firearm in his pants" and another suspect was allegedly seen "emptying the contents of the vehicle's glove box while wearing blue latex gloves," according to arrest affidavits.
A couple of men were arrested Jan. 9 after a reported auto burglary at the Brittany Bay Apartment Complex on Seminole Boulevard, according to arrest affidavits. A police dog "tracked directly to the subjects," according to an arrest affidavit. Anthony Andrew Harris, 18, was found with a "firearm in his pants," police report. Harris reportedly told police he received the handgun from an acquaintance but "he also had female jewelry and a large amount of change on him most likely from auto burglaries," according to an arrest affidavit. Harris reportedly "smelled of marijuana and a small 'joint' of marijuana was found tucked behind his ear," according to an arrest affidavit.
