Plans are moving forward to bring Pinellas County's first Whole Foods Market to Westfield Countryside Mall, officials with the mall confirmed recently. “From what we have seen and are allowed to speak about, Sears is working directly with (Whole Foods),” said Lauren Clark, spokeswoman with Westfield Countryside Mall. “We don’t have a date on exactly but we do know they are looking to move forward.” Whole Foods officials said they do not have a specific location in mind yet but are planning to open a store in Clearwater sometime in 2014. The "Courage to Remember" traveling Holocaust exhibit is on display at Westfield Countryside Mall through Sept. 27.
It is not an accident a traveling exhibit honoring the Holocaust is on display at Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater. Turns out one of the best places to get the most exposure is the commercial and retail mecca. The whole point of the exhibit is to raise awareness, said Ted Gover, executive director of the Foundation for California, which helped bring the exhibit to Clearwater. Officials wanted to put it in a place where it would get the most traffic. “It turns out this was the best fit,” said “(Westfield) gave us some prime space.” The exhibit is near the escalators directly across from the Cobb theater and near Sears.
