UPDATE: Man Charged in Wednesday Bank Robbery in Largo

Ronald J. Massey is also being charged in connection with a December robbery of the BB&T Bank on Walsingham Road.

Largo Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a bank robbery Wednesday on Ulmerton Road. Ronald J. Massey, 30, is charged with armed robbery after authorities said he flashed a knife and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Fifth Third Bank at 11281 Ulmerton Rd. on Wednesday afternoon, officials said. Massey is also being charged with strong armed robbery in connection with a Dec. 14 incident at BB&T Bank, 14141 Walsingham Rd., in Largo, according to police. A $1,000 reward had been offered for information leading to his capture. Largo Motorcyclist Killed in Seminole Boulevard Crash

Michael Evan Schneider, 19, was thrown from his motorcycle and later died after hitting a car at Seminole Boulevard and Walsingham Road.

A Largo man was killed when his motorcycle struck a car Wednesday night at Seminole Boulevard and Walsingham Road, the Florida Highway Patrol reports. According to FHP investigators, Michael Evan Schneider, 19, was headed north on Seminole Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m. when he hit a Chevy Cavalier that was coming from the opposite direction and turning left into the Seminole Center Plaza at Walsingham Road. Schneider was thrown from his Suzuki motorcycle and sustained critical injuries. He later died at Largo Medical Center, authorities said. The driver of the Cavalier, 18-year-old Deven Lee McCormick of Seminole, and a 16-year-old female passenger were taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. There was no immediate word on …
