Patch Summer Essentials Contest Winners Sound Off
Winners in the five-week contest came from all over the Tampa Bay area.
Just as summer really started to heat up, Patch’s Florida sites got together to treat readers to a five-week contest to make having fun a little easier – and a whole lot more affordable. We asked readers to sound off in order to win gift cards to offset the costs of buying gas, groceries, clothing, auto repairs and vacationing. One random winner was selected during each week of the contest. I shop between Walmart and Sweetbay. I use coupons, but only for those items that we actually use and need. We keep a grocery list on a dry erase board all week, I make a weekly menu, add that to the list and rewrite the list on paper and take it to the stores with me, so I don't overspend.
