Smokin' Rib Shack BBQ in Largo Has Customers Coming Back for More
Word of mouth is spreading about a family-run business on West Bay Drive serving up southern-style barbecue ribs, pork and chicken with a special recipe for success.
A nonstop parade of customers to the small barbecue eatery on West Bay Drive is the first sign that it must be smoking. Smokin' Rib Shack BBQ, at 600 West Bay Dr., east of Clearwater Largo Road, is a family-run business that has made a name for itself by offering big, affordable portions of savory barbecue beef, chicken or pork with a heaping serving of down home hospitality. Born in Clearwater, Glenn Braxton and cousins Corey Miller and Curtis Luke opened their Largo location in 2003, bringing along a specially blended barbecue sauce recipe handed down by their grandfather, Johnnie Mack. If you like a fast food version of bbq then this place would be "ok" otherwise the only ppl who would like this place are drunk and starving from one of the local bars or just do not know what "good" bbq tastes like. I have had bbq from this place twice and was not impressed, next time I'll just go to sonny's because the rib shacks food tastes the same more ›
