New Largo Mall Restaurants in 2012
A new Buffalo Wild Wings and a new Firehouse Subs opened at the Largo Mall in 2012.

The community watched as the new Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant was built this summer on busy Ulmerton Road. Besides 16 signature sauces and five dry seasonings for wings, Buffalo Wild Wings offers a full menu, including "savory" salads, wraps, and build-your-own burgers. East Bay Drive Pizza Hut Robber Still Wanted
The suspect is wanted in connection with a spree that began in September and includes break-ins in three counties. The most recent robbery took place Nov. 1.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for some help to identify a suspect wanted in connection with seven armed restaurant robberies in three different counties, including a Pizza Hut in the Clearwater/Largo area nearly two months ago. The spree began in September as a single armed robbery at a Gunn Highway Papa John’s. It has since grown to include a number of robberies in Hillsborough County, the Pizza Hut in Pinellas and one in Hernando. The suspect has only targeted pizza and fast-food restaurants to date. The man wanted in connection with the crimes is described as a black male between the age of 22 and 35. He is about 150 to 180 pounds and stands between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-11. Hungry for Chicken Wings?

When I drove up to Niagara Tap for a review, I was looking forward to some great wings. Patch readers had raved for months about the special rubs and sauces for chicken wings at Niagara Tap. I decided to order ten honey barbeque chicken wings. The wait for the food was only about ten to fifteen minutes and once the order came I decided to enjoy my food outside. The moment of truth came when I opened the box filled with wings. The wings looked great and full of meat and sauce. I took my first bite and was in heaven. Miyako Sushi Bar & Hibachi opened just a few months ago on Ulmerton Road in Largo in a Publix plaza. When I found the restaurant while driving up Ulmerton Road, I was not expecting to find such a hidden gem. Upon entering the restaurant I decided to sit at the sushi bar. It is my belief that if you converse with your sushi chef, it creates goodwill and enhances your experience at a Japanese restaurant. When I sat at the bar I looked at the fish behind the counter and was excited to see that all the fish was very colorful and clearly fresh. This tends to vary around Tampa Bay, but from appearance it was clear to me that Miyako only wants the best quality of fish in their restaurant.
