Domestic Violence Incident Leads Police to Bullet Hole in AC Vent

A heated argument over a family car turned violent when a convicted felon pulled a gun out and threatened a woman, according to authorities in Largo.

A heated argument over a family car turned violent earlier this month in Largo when a convicted felon pulled a gun on a woman, cocked the trigger, and it placed it on the victim's chest. Samuel Maldonado, who was previously arrested for DWI, battery, arson, and violation of probation on a lewd and lascivious child abuse battery charge, is accused of aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm for an incident that occurred on May 1st in Largo. According to the police report, Maldonado, 44, got into a dispute over the car when the victim left the defendant's house on Strema Road in Largo with her daughter in tow. Mailbox Crash Uncovers Urination in Pants

A habitual DUI offender is charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor following a traffic stop earlier this month in Largo.

Jeffrey Lannon Porter, a habitual offender who has been arrested and charged multiple times for DUI and driving on a suspended or revoked license, was arrested again earlier this month following a traffic stop in Largo. A Largo Police officer stopped Porter after witnessing his red Jeep crash into a mailbox and then leave the scene on May 7, according to an arrest report. Porter was pulled over outside of 201 36th St. SE, where the officer reported that Porter admitted to possibly striking the mailbox and showed signs of impairment.  Those signs included slurred speech, an odor of alcohol on his breath, bloodshot eyes and urination in his pants, according to the report. Nathaniel Dane Bragg, 29, stole a checkbook from an elderly man to write himself nearly $2,000 worth of forged checks, according to the Largo Police Department.

A Largo man stole a checkbook from an elderly man to write himself nearly $2,000 worth of forged checks, according to Largo Police. Nathaniel Dane Bragg, 29, was arrested and charged with forgery, grand theft and grand theft from a person over the age of 65 on April 23, according to Largo Police Department records. He also was charged with violation of parole stemming from a prior DUI arrest, according to the police report. Bragg admitted to stealing a checkbook from an unnamed victim, forging the victim's signature on 13 separate checks and making them out to himself; he also admitted to cashing $1,810 worth of checks at a local bank, according to investigators. Beer Money Brawl Leads to Screwdriver Stabbing

Sara Rivera, 49, was arrested and charged with felony aggravated domestic battery after using a screwdriver in a fight over beer money, according to Largo Police.

A Largo woman used a screwdriver to stab a victim in an argument over beer money, according to police. Sara Rivera, 49, got into a fight with the victim about his use of money on a debit card to buy more beer around 6 p.m. April 28, according to Largo Police. The argument escalated, with Rivera and the victim both hitting each other, Rivera's daughter said in the police report. During the fight, Rivera picked up a screwdriver and stabbed the victim in the back of the head and right arm, causing minor injuries, according to the investigators. Blood was found on the floor of the Jasper Street apartment, and Rivera attempted to clean up another area of blood, according to police. A man accused in several robberies at knifepoint at businesses around Pinellas County was taken into custody Tuesday, after deputies say they spotted the getaway vehicle at the Coastal Plaza in Dunedin. The driver of the vehicle, Michael Roger Bourdeau, 45, of Pinellas Park, rammed a Pinellas County Sheriff's cruiser in an attempt to get away Tuesday, April 16, authorities say. Manatee County authorities, working with the state, are seeking a former pharmacy store owner wanted since May 2012 in connection to a drug trafficking operation. A local judge has order a St. Pete man to pay four homeless men $14,000 after they were beaten in one of his fetish films, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times.  Jeffery Williams, according to the Times, produced a, "series of fetish videos that showed women beating up handcuffed men." "The men claimed they were offered $25 to $50 each to be whipped, beaten and dominated by scantily clad women as cameras rolled. They said they were not allowed to fight back and had to endure the beatings for 12 minutes in order to get paid." Detectives are searching for two women who they say scammed a senior citizen out of $18,000 outside a Largo Walmart last month. The two suspects approached the victim in the parking lot of Walmart, 1111 N. Missouri Ave., around 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 27, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Detectives say the women talked about a desire to obtain American citizenship and claimed that they needed $60,000 for documents to obtain it. They convinced the senior to help them by driving to a nearby bank and withdrawing $18,000, which was eventually provided to the suspects, officials said. A 19-year-old Largo man is in jail after allegedly feeding a child a hallucinogenic mushroom Feb. 23. According to the arrest affidavit, Ryan Parris knowingly bought illegal mushrooms and gave them to a child to eat. The child's age was not released by police. Parris has been charged with child abuse and is currently awaiting trial at the Pinellas County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
