Deputies: Man With Fillet Knife Attacks Bartender, Injures 2 Largo Men

When James Klingbeil was turned away from the Indian Rocks Beach bar for already being "highly intoxicated," he returned armed with a fillet knife, deputies said.

Two Largo brothers were injured when they helped fend off an attack by an intoxicated man wielding a fillet knife Sunday night at an Indian Rocks Beach bar, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. James Klingbeil, 50, of Belleair Beach, had been turned away at the Red Lion Pub, 1407 Gulf Blvd., earlier in the evening because he was already "highly intoxicated," deputies said. After getting into an argument with the staff, according to a sheriff's report, Klingbeil went to a grocery store a few blocks away and bought a fillet knife. Homeless Man Sexually Abused Boy, Detectives Say

The 59-year-old man sexually abused a boy under the age of 12, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's officials.

A 59-year-old homeless man faces charges of sexually abusing a boy under the age of 12, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Robert Marion Green was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation, according to investigators. Detectives said that Green admitted to the allegations when they interviewed him. According to investigators, the incidents occurred at a Largo home. Detectives said the victim disclosed to his mother that he had been touched in a sexual manner by the suspect. Detectives Ask Public for Help to ID Bank Robbery Suspect

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are asking the public for help to identify a suspect who robbed a Largo bank Tuesday morning.

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are asking the public for help to identify a suspect who robbed a Largo bank Tuesday morning. A black man wearing a white jacket, dark pants and shoes, a baseball cap and mask over most of his face walked into the Wells Fargo Bank, 8700 Bryan Dairy Road, pointing a gun and demanding money at 9:41 a.m., according to investigators. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the nearly 6-foot-2-inch tall, 190 pound man fled on foot, according to officials. Deputies to Deliver Easter Meals to Families in Need

Thursday, deputies, firefighters and church volunteers will deliver the foods to 70-plus families in Pinellas County. .

More than 70 families in need throughout Pinellas County will be celebrating Easter this weekend with a hearty meal provided by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Pinellas Suncoast Fire & Rescue District and Calvary Episcopal Church.  Thursday, deputies with the community policing unit, firefighters and church volunteers will be meeting at 3 p.m. at the loading dock behind the Publix at 12022 Indian Rocks Rd. in Largo to pick up the meals.  According to a news release, the Calvary Episcopal Church of Indian Rocks Beach is heading the event.   The Church brought together government agencies, community clubs, and private companies to raise money to provide holiday meals for families in need this Easter, the sheriff's office said. Sex Offender Charged With Molesting 3-Year-Old

Detectives say the 30-year-old suspect was discovered in the child's bed. He is a registered sex offender.

A registered sexual offender faces two charges of sexual battery on a child under 12, after detectives say he was discovered in a young child's bed at a home he was visiting. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Edwin Esmurria, 30, who is described in a press release as a transient. Esmurria is a registered sex offender. Detectives say that Esmurria inappropriately touched a 3-year-old child while visiting the victim's residence. The crime occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, March 23, at a home in unincorporated Largo. Update: Robbery Suspect, Police Exchange Gunfire as Suspect Flees

Largo Police have arrested Terry Lamar James.

Update: Pinellas County deputies have announced they have arrested Terry Lamar James.  Following the incident overnight which James and Largo police exchanged gunfire, detectives began trying to locate him. Through their investigation they received a tip on the whereabouts of James and began to conduct surveillance and followed the vehicle. The vehicle eventually pulled into the parking lot of Sacred Heart Catholic Church on 82nd Avenue and 46th Street in Pinellas Park, a news release said.   According to the sheriff's office, James and two other people in the vehicle realized that they were being watched by deputies and exited the car. Detectives: Women Scammed Senior Out of $18,000 at Largo Walmart

The suspects claimed they needed the money to obtain American citizenship, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives are searching for two women who they say scammed a senior citizen out of $18,000 outside a Largo Walmart last month. The two suspects approached the victim in the parking lot of Walmart, 1111 N. Missouri Ave., around 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 27, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Detectives say the women talked about a desire to obtain American citizenship and claimed that they needed $60,000 for documents to obtain it. They convinced the senior to help them by driving to a nearby bank and withdrawing $18,000, which was eventually provided to the suspects, officials said. The two women then fabricated a story and left the area. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic woman, about 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-3 and …

Largo Man Stabs Wife After Argument, Deputies Say

Anastacio Morales, 37, has been charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is currently awaiting trial on a $20,000 bond.

Anastacio Morales and his wife were in a verbal argument that quickly escalated and led to the Largo man allegedly stabbing his wife, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The arrest affidavit states Morales, who appeared to be intoxicated, grabbed a knife and stabbed his wife on her back after the argument.  Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies said the stabbing caused a deep laceration on her back, where the wound was a quarter of an inch and required stitching. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Morales, 37, has been charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Deputies Make 7 DUI Busts During 'Wolf Pack' Operation

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office issued 32 citations over the weekend during its operation.

Pinellas County deputies issued 32 citations over the weekend during their monthly DUI Wolf Pack Operation.  The citations included:  According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, "the goal of the Wolf Pack is to target drivers under the influence of alcohol, aggressive driving and other traffic related violations."
