Newly-elected "pro-fluoride" commissioners Janet Long and Charlie Justice attended their first Pinellas County Commission meeting last week, where commissioners unanimously decided they'll vote today to put fluoride back into the county's drinking water

Fluoride appears to be making a comeback in Pinellas County, now that the commissioners who voted to remove it about a year ago have themselves been voted out of office. The Times reports that commissioners John Morroni and Norm Roche, who opposed fluoride last year, have changed their minds and will vote to put it back in the drinking water. No doubt, the upcoming vote will …

(VIDEO) Domestic Violence: 'Stop the Cycle,' Victims, Advocates Urge

Artwork created by victims of domestic violence is displayed in the lobby of the Pinellas County Jail.

In the front lobby of the Pinellas County Jail is a sillhouette of a young girl. The text on it states: "I think it's my fault." It is featured prominently. The silhouette was among artwork featured at the Pinellas County Jail in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Investigators: Inmate Plotted to Kill Wife

The Palm Harbor man allegedly offered another inmate cash and a 1992 pickup in exchange for killing his wife.

A Palm Harbor man who is an inmate at the Pinellas County Jail is accused of trying to hire another inmate to kill his wife. On Feb. 23, Pinellas County Deputies charged Howard Michael Dilkes, 50, with Solicitation to Commit Murder. Investigators say that on Jan. 27, an inmate at the jail told them that Dilkes asked him to murder Dilke's wife, 44 year-old Arlita Harwood. Dilkes allegedly offered to pay the inmate money and a 1992 Ford pickup truck to murder her. Dilkes told the other inmate that he wanted his wife killed, so she would not testify against him in an aggravated assault trial scheduled for Jan. 31, according to detectives. Investigators say Dilke suggested ways his wife could be killed, which included a kidnapping scenario. …
