The Largo Irish bar will celebrate the holiday with a three-day bash complete with live music, food and plenty of spirits.
When Mark Ternes took ownership of Finley’s Irish Pub & Eatery last August, he said he planned to take the Largo bar to the “next level.” Those plans included expanding to a vacant space next door on Belcher Road as well as doing more events and other things involving the community. A new owner is planning to expand the Largo bar and menu while keeping the previous owner on board.
When a new owner takes over a business, changes are inevitable. But sometimes, change can be good. That appears to be the case at Finley’s Irish Pub & Eatery, the popular Belcher Road bar known for its blues jam and annual St. Patty’s Day party. A few weeks ago, previous owner John Hendrick sold the establishment to Mark Ternes, and by all accounts, the transition has been a positive experience for everyone involved. “John built a very nice business here,” Ternes says. “It’s unfortunate he had to break it up, but now he’s worry free.
