Fallen Largo Soldier Honored at Veterans Day Ceremony
Largo held its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Sunday night in Largo Central Park.
A fallen American hero was honored at Sunday night's Veterans Day Ceremony in Largo. Each year, Largo presents eagle statues to a couple Largo City employees who have served in the military as a part of its annual Veterans Day Ceremony in Largo Central Park. This year the city also included the family of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Matt Sitton in the presentation of the eagle statues. Sitton's parents, widow and toddler son attended the ceremony. The Largo native was 26 when he died Aug. 2 in Afghanistan; it was the third deployment for the Indian Rocks Christian School graduate. The city employees who also received the eagles honoring and appreciating their military service were Largo Police Lt. Mike Loux and Largo Asst. Fire Chief Doug Swartz. …

It's important to look at the positive that young is doing now, but he got the email in June! Who is he trying to help now the soldiers or his own conscience? Was waged over ridiculous lies. I'm so happy my sons didn't fall for the bs high school recruiters wanted to feed them. And we are Americans and we are patriotic but people need to be taught other ways.
