The following report shows charges associated with Largo residents booked at Pinellas County Jail between May 6-12. All felony arrests were made by the Largo Police Department unless noted otherwise.  Being arrested on charges does not mean a person has been convicted of the crime. Samuel Maldonado, 44, of Largo, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and felonious possession of a firearm. He is in jail awaiting trial on $70,000 bond. Christine Molly Xiong, 24, of Clearwater, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (alprazolam and adderall). She was released on $4,000 bond. Police: Beer Can Battery Blackout Leads to Purse Snatching

A Largo man hit a woman with a beer can, causing her to black out, before stealing her purse and leaving on his bike, according to Largo Police.

A Largo man hit a woman with a beer can, causing her to black out, before stealing her purse and leaving on his bike, according to Largo Police. Anthony Lauren Bender, 27, was having a verbal argument with the victim, who is not identified because of the nature of the incident, around 1:47 p.m. May 2, according to police. Bender struck the woman with a can full of beer, causing her to black out, according to investigators. Then, he reached into her Ford Taurus and took her purse from the dashboard before taking off on his bicycle, police said. Police were able to find Bender shortly after the incident, and witnesses identified him, according to arrest reports. Bender was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon …

4-Year-Old's Mom Speaks Out in Sex Abuse Case

The Largo mother of a pre-schooler allegedly abused by a 59-year-old homeless man has a warning for parents.

The day after a homeless man was arrested in connection to a Largo sex abuse case, the four-year-old victim's mother offered a public statement. (See "Deputies: Homeless Man Sexually Abused Boy.") According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, 59-year-old Robert Green has admitted to molesting the four-year-old boy. He is jailed on charges of sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation. The child's mother, with the support of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, is urging families to step forward if they believe they have information on the suspect or that their children may have been victimized, according to ABC News. Homeless Man Sexually Abused Boy, Detectives Say

The 59-year-old man sexually abused a boy under the age of 12, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's officials.

A 59-year-old homeless man faces charges of sexually abusing a boy under the age of 12, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Robert Marion Green was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation, according to investigators. Detectives said that Green admitted to the allegations when they interviewed him. According to investigators, the incidents occurred at a Largo home. Detectives said the victim disclosed to his mother that he had been touched in a sexual manner by the suspect. The child was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, and the Sheriff's Office was contacted to make a report. Detectives made contact with the suspect on Monday, April 29. Green admitted to the …

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are asking the public for help to identify a suspect who robbed a Largo bank Tuesday morning.

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are asking the public for help to identify a suspect who robbed a Largo bank Tuesday morning. A black man wearing a white jacket, dark pants and shoes, a baseball cap and mask over most of his face walked into the Wells Fargo Bank, 8700 Bryan Dairy Road, pointing a gun and demanding money at 9:41 a.m., according to investigators. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the nearly 6-foot-2-inch tall, 190 pound man fled on foot, according to officials. Hoping For Help Finding Alleged Bank Robber, Reward Offered

Crimestoppers announced a reward for tips leading to arrest of a Largo bank robbery suspect, according to a news release.

Crimestoppers is now offering a reward to help identify the suspect in a Dec. 14 Largo bank robbery, according to a news release. Largo Police say that a man robbed the BB&T Bank on Walsingham Road. The robbery happened at 9:11 a.m. at 14141 Walsingham Road, according to a news release. The suspect is described as 25-30 years old with a thin build and about 5-feet, 9-inches tall. He fled the bank on foot. Police think the man was hanging around the Publix at 12022 Indian Rocks Road before the robbery occured, police report.
