Specialty Chocolates, Christmas Cakes at Largo's German Deli

During the last 12 days before Christmas, Largo Patch will share gift ideas from local businesses each day to help wrap up your holiday shopping.

Enjoy chocolate with liqueur? Prefer stollen, the German sweet bread, filled with fruit and nuts? Stepping into the Largo's German Deli and Wursthaus around the holidays is similar to going to one of the Christmas Markets in Germany, where stores and stands are stuffed with baked goods and spicy holiday wines. For Christmas, the East Bay Drive deli carries a wide selection of specialty chocolates with liqueur, fresh-baked Christmas cookies, calendars filled with chocolates, holiday wines and gingerbread. Throughout the year the shop carries  sausages, bread, noodles, mustard and other imported products . Want to read about other local places to shop? Christmas is not about gimme-greed; it is about rejoicing in the birth of our Savior. $100.00 plus something special to wear to midnight mass is plenty for kids except in the case of a special present such as a bicycle. It is good to have kids participate in giving to very poor children, orphans in Haiti, and poor senior citizens who live alone. Never have them give anything used! New presents …   more ›
