Shooting Suspect Faces Attempted Murder Charge
A Largo man was charged with attempted murder after a shooting at the Handy Corner. The suspect also apparently shot himself in the hand.
A Largo man faces a charge of attempted murder after a shooting Friday morning at the Handy Corner, authorities report. Two men reportedly got into an argument Friday morning inside the Handy Corner Store on 119th St. North in Largo. Deonte J. Williams, 18, of Largo and the victim left the store and the fight apparently escalated, "at which point a shot was fired and Williams left the scene," deputies report. The 22-year-old victim was shot in the shoulder area and transported to Bayfront Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, according to a news release.
