The Florida Lottery has debuted another big-ticket national game – Mega Millions – that has launched with a hefty jackpot: a projected $190 million when the winning numbers are announced Friday night. Go to the Florida Lottery to see the Safety Harbor retailers selling Mega Millions tickets. Florida, along with 42 other states, offers people the chance to strike it rich, with tickets selling for a dollar. The record jackpot was last year, when Mega Millions paid out $656 million to three lucky winners. But for a number of Floridians, their losing tickets are being turned into instant winners, thanks to a new promotion being conducted by the Florida Lottery.
