Michael Evan Schneider, 19, was thrown from his motorcycle and later died after hitting a car at Seminole Boulevard and Walsingham Road.
A Largo man was killed when his motorcycle struck a car Wednesday night at Seminole Boulevard and Walsingham Road, the Florida Highway Patrol reports. According to FHP investigators, Michael Evan Schneider, 19, was headed north on Seminole Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m. when he hit a Chevy Cavalier that was coming from the opposite direction and turning left into the Seminole Center Plaza at Walsingham Road. Schneider was thrown from his Suzuki motorcycle and sustained critical injuries. He later died at Largo Medical Center, authorities said. The driver of the Cavalier, 18-year-old Deven Lee McCormick of Seminole, and a 16-year-old female passenger were taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. There was no immediate word on …

Tow truck drivers from around Florida paid their respects Sunday to a Largo driver.
Tow trucks and other heavy trucks are a familiar site in Largo with road construction happening all around town. But Sunday's procession of about 60 trucks was in memory of a Scott Edward Hinchliffe. The 46-year-old Madeira Beach man was driving his heavy-duty tow truck July 9 on Interstate 75 in the Bradenton area. Hinchliffe's right front tire blew, and his truck hit an embankment. He died at the scene. "What we do is incredibly dangerous. Most of the pubic sees us as they fly down the road," Ginger Darling, owner of Nationwide Towing. "Scott was a kind person.
