Miyako Sushi Bar & Hibachi opened just a few months ago on Ulmerton Road in Largo in a Publix plaza. When I found the restaurant while driving up Ulmerton Road, I was not expecting to find such a hidden gem. Upon entering the restaurant I decided to sit at the sushi bar. It is my belief that if you converse with your sushi chef, it creates goodwill and enhances your experience at a Japanese restaurant. When I sat at the bar I looked at the fish behind the counter and was excited to see that all the fish was very colorful and clearly fresh. This tends to vary around Tampa Bay, but from appearance it was clear to me that Miyako only wants the best quality of fish in their restaurant. Who knew that Largo has some of the best burgers and fries in Tampa Bay? Summer is the perfect time to hunt for some burgers and fries. I was surprised when I stopped by Billy Jack's Burger Shack and enjoyed an affordable and homemade tasting burger ($3) and some delicious cajun fries ($1) for under $7 with a fountain drink. Burgers are cooked medium well by default (and really how else should you consume delicious burger meat)? The burger tasted fresh off the grill and came packed with flavor and fresh toppings. There is a small, beautiful Polish Restaurant in Largo Florida on Clearwater, Largo Road called "Baltic Amber." It has beautiful hand painted murals, and some of the best, most authentic food you will ever taste.
