Chick-fil-A, Children's Cancer Center Need 'Fuel for Families'

Drop off gift cards to any Largo area Chick-fil-A restaurant during the month of November.

The Tampa Bay area’s 38 Chick-fil-A locations are serving as collection points for “Fuel for Families.” Partnering with the Children’s Cancer Center, the fast-food chain is accepting gift cards for food and gas to benefit the families of children who are undergoing medical treatments. “Many Tampa Bay families carry large financial burdens that result from battles with child cancer, rare blood disorders, and other life-threatening illnesses,” Jane Melton, area marketing director for Tampa Bay Chick-fil-A Restaurants, said in a news release. Gift cards, collected through the end of November, can be dropped off at the drive-thru or inside the restaurants. Gay Rights Supporters to Hold 'Kiss-In' at Chick-fil-A Today

Across the U.S. today, thousands from the GLBT community will be kissing at local Chick-fil-As in support of marriage equality.

On Wednesday, Aug. 1 thousands flocked to Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. to support the company and its stance on traditional marriage. In July, Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy and his company came under fire after he made anti-gay marriage comments in an interview with the Baptist Press. Today, gay activists and supporters are planning a "kiss-in" at Chick-fil-As across the country.  According to the national event Facebook page, In honor of their support for love, equality, and the real definition of family, we're holding a national Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil A's around the country. Dad and Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A hosts "Date Night" to encourage conversation between dads and daughters on Oct. 15.

Chick-fil-A supports conversation between fathers and daughters by hosting a “Date Night” on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event allows fathers and daughters to spend some time together while enjoying dinner, conversation and participating in activities. “The main point of connection throughout the night is the conversation prompts placed at all customer tables, as well as a take-home booklet called “Continuing the Conversation,” provides ideas for future dates and questions that both dads and daughters can ask each other,” said Rob Entsminger, Chick-fil-A spokesperson. Chick-Fil-A Offering Free Breakfast Entrees This Week

The Largo Chick-Fil-A will be participating in the promotion.

Here's a budget friendly freebie you may want to take advantage of. The Largo Chick-Fil-A is offering free breakfast entrees from Sept. 6-10. The happy cows are offering, 'Chikin 4 Brekfust' to treat customers to breakfast the week of Labor Day. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. There are nine breakfast items to choose from including a new whole grain oatmeal. You need to make a reservation on the Chick-Fil-A website to pick up your entree. As of 6 a.m. today, there were 1490 reservations remaining. The Largo Chick-Fil-A is offering the promotion at its drive-thru window only. Chick-fil-A in Largo is located at 10075 Ulmerton Rd.
