Giant sandwiches and original Italian foods make the East Bay Drive shop a Largo institution.

With a national sub franchise on one side and a pizza joint on the other, you might think a little Italian deli like Cesarina’s would have a hard time staying in business.  But one look at the line around lunchtime, and one attempt at eating one of their signature subs in one sitting, and it doesn’t take long to recognize why this East Bay Drive shop has been in business for 23 years and counting.  “I’ve been to places, you open the sandwich and you see two slices of cheese, two slices of meat, some lettuce and tomato, and that’s it,” owner Fernando Stanganelli relates. “Here we don’t do that.
