Rocky Horror Troupe Moves to Largo

The Interchangeable Parts Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadowcast is planning to move their show to Tri-City 8 AMC in Largo.

A popular "Rocky Horror Picture Show" performance group is moving from St. Pete Beach to a new home in Largo. The Interchangeable Parts Shadowcast features performers miming out the 1975 cult classic movie while it shows on the big screen. The recent closing of the Beach Theatre had left it without a home. According to the The Interchangeable Parts Facebook page, the shadowcast is moving to Tri City 8 AMC in Largo. The show is planned to resume Jan. 5, and ticket prices will be raising to $6, from the $5 that was charged at the Beach Theatre. Video: Repo! The Genetic Opera Shadow Cast

The Beach Theatre held a live performance of the cult movie this past Friday.

Dozens lined up outside the historic Beach Theatre on Friday night. . . but the wait wasn’t for a new release . . . rather a cult film . .  called Repo! The Genetic Opera. “I love the movie, I absolutely love the movie, I’m a huge fan,” Bam Martin. From blinking masks to exotic lingerie even fans dressed up for the special shadow-cast performance of the movie. “Basically what the movie is about is, it’s about reposessing organs and stuff like that. If you don’t pay, for your organ the repo man will come and take them from you. And you don’t want to repo man to come and take the organs from you because, you basically die.” said Bam Martin, of St. Petersburg.
