7-Eleven Now Open by Largo Central Park

The new 7-Eleven store is now open at 10 North Missouri Ave.

The new 7-Eleven opened Jan. 4. The location is open 24 hours daily. The new convenience store and gas station is located at the busy corner of East Bay Drive and North Missouri Avenue.  The 7-Eleven is in the former location of Metro Gas, which was previously a Citgo station. The new store has 7-Eleven's usual line of popular drinks like Big Gulps and Slurpees, plus sandwiches, salads, hot foods and grill products. The 7-Eleven is not the only new gas station in town. Thorntons Opening Soon in Largo

The convenience store and gas station is set to open Dec. 30, according to a company spokeswoman.

Thorntons, a new gas station and convenience store, will open Dec. 30 in Largo, according to company spokeswoman Erin Jones. Construction crews continue to work on the store at the northeast corner of the intersection of Ulmerton and Starkey roads. The Largo Thorntons is part of the planned expansion of the chain into the Tampa Bay market. Thorntons has 166 locations in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. Thorntons is known for its wide selection of fountain drinks where customers can add a choice of flavor shots and choose different types of ice. Want a slurpee on the way to Largo Central Park? Need some gas for errands around town? A new 7-Eleven is coming to the busy corner of East Bay Drive and North Missouri Avenue. The store is expected to open in December, according to Margaret Chabris of 7-Eleven. The new convenience store and gas station is going in the former location of Metro Gas, which was previously a Citgo station. The new store will have 7-Eleven's usual line of popular drinks like Big Gulps and Slurpees, plus sandwiches, salads, hot foods and grill products, Chabris wrote in an email. Free Coffee Means a Free Vote at 7-Eleven on Friday in Largo

7-Eleven has free coffee Friday in your choice of President Barack Obama or Gov. Mitt Romney cups.

In the last three presidential elections 7-Eleven customers have accurately predicted the winner of the race. Customers can pour their favorite brew into blue President Barack Obama cups or red Gov. Mitt Romney cups. The convenience store keeps a tally of the winner at the national and state level. So far Obama is ahead nationwide and in Florida. On Friday, customers have the added perk of getting free coffee in the candidate cup of their choice.
