I am a New Yorker by origin, (White Plains NY actually!) but when I came to Florida, there was one thing missing from the Cuisine in Florida, and that was Genuine, New York/Brooklyn Pizza! Now, I am a severe Pizza critic, and I know what is the Best and what is not. But when I came across Sardo's Pizza and Hero's in Largo Florida Off of Ulmerton road between Seminole Blvd and 133th street on the North side of Ulmerton, I realized I have found the Perfect Pizzeria!! I mean it had everything that met Genuine New York Pizza! If you have ever gone into a Pizzeria and eaten part of your slice and left the crust, that's the sign that your Pizza isn't good enough. At Sardo's, you will not only eat the whole slice including the exquisite tasty Crust, but you will actually roll your eyes with the taste!!!! Santo Sardo who is the Master behind these recipes and a Genius to say the least about them, but he's as genuine as the food he serves. He is a "Family Man first" kind of guy, and he's got his heart out there for all to see and to share his generosity. This guy and his food, will just make you want to never leave!! I say this as a 50 year veteran of actual Pizza tasting and eating. C'mon!! All I can say, is GO TO SARDOS! You will thank me for telling you this!! I swear on my life that when you go in and taste his fabulous Italian food, you will never want to go anywhere else! I mean it!! GO! I know I will!!

The Sardo family are from Brooklyn, and they proudly cook pizza in the New York style. Patriarch Santo also prides himself on the wisecracks he serves up to customers.
