Pinellas County School Board
The school board consists of seven elected members from the different districts within Pinellas County.
Three members are elected by voters of the entire school district and four members are elected by voters within a single-member district.
These members are required to live within their district.
The board appoints a superintendent who serves as chief administrative officer of Pinellas County Schools.
The board makes decisions on school ethics, codes, district policies, dress codes and other school related matters.
