Does great service still exist? What is your opinion???

I will give you my opinion.  I believe that overall in our society, great service is not what it used to be.  There are exceptional companies like Starbucks, Disney, Nordstroms, some 5 star restaurants and hotels that provide excellent service day in and day out.  There are also some small businesses and small business owners who strive to provide excellent service and quality daily.  There are equally those who give very inconsistant or poor service on a regular basis.  So, what is the difference? 
Is it the ownership?  Is it the local management?  Are some less interested in providing excellent service and more focused on growth?  Is it the hiring process or the pay or the benefits?  These are some of the things that we are going to examine.  I am in search of small businesses and small business owners who deal with this everyday.  I want to hear from them.  I also want to hear from comsumers who are out there doing business with these companies and hear what they have to say.  If you are a small business owner, I want to hear from you.  Send me a private message.  I would love to also interview you on my radio show to allow you to promote your business and tell me your thoughts on service and quality in today's challenging economy.
