Swing Dance Saturdays
Savory South had run swing dances for more than 15 years. Learn swing steps and dance from 7 - 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Largo Community Center, 400 Alt Keene Road. Cost is $7. Find out more here

Labor Day Poolside Picnic
Bring a blanket, picnic basket and the family to the an extended three hour swim session starting at 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at the Highland Family Aquatic Center, 400 Highland Ave. Cost is $12. Find out more here.

Labor Day Zumba Bash

Get fit before enjoying your Labor Day barbecue or poolside picnic. A special 90 minute Labor Day Zumba Bash is at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at We R Fit, 9208 Ulmerton Road. Cost is $10 in advance. Find out more here.

Pull out Those Poodle Skirts

‘World’s Largest Food Truck Rally’

Enjoy live entertainment and plenty of food as dozens of food trucks rally at the Florida State Fairgrounds,4800 U.S. 301, on Saturday, Aug. 31. The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m. About 15 bands are expected to play and organizers are shooting for 100 food trucks. Find out more on South Tampa Patch.

Light Up the Night

Downtown Tampa’s Channelside is the place to be this Labor Day weekend as Light Up the Night gets under way Sunday, Sept. 1. The bands start playing at 6 p.m., a boat parade starts at 7:30 and fireworks will light up the night sky at 8:30 p.m. Find out more details on TBO.com.
