County Declared a State of Local Emergency

Storm damage remains especially behind George McGough Nature Park.

Largo continues to recover from the hours of rain, wind and a brought on by Tropical Storm Debby.

could be seen around town and a few residents had more significant damage especially on Valentine Drive and around 145th Street North.

The city reports there were three destroyed residences, three residences with major damage, damaged roofs, carports, vehicles and some localized flooding.

The county declared a state of local emergency Monday "due to continuing threat and impacts" of Tropical Storm Debby.

If residents have damage they would like to report to the City of Largo, please email Building Official Ken Andrews at kandrews@largo.com or call (727) 586-7488. Andrews will help residents with the building permit process, if needed.
