Kudos to the Largo School Boards. Now you have to enforce it to make it work. A childs education should be about knowledge, not fashion or their interitation of it!

It's about time! We all had dress codes, still do at some employers, even uniforms. These kids are suppose to be getting an education that takes them into the real world.
I'm sure there will be a lot of uproar from students and parents. They need to just get over it! Thank you School Board, even though I don't know what took you so long. Terri

Some of these rules are ridiculous! What's better about a solid color shirt or skirt/pants than plaid or flowered or other design? Sandals are ubiquitous in Florida, but can't be worn to school?? Why? And jeans are the choice of 3/4 of the world. Why not? I'm in my 70's and wear sleeveless shirts because of the heat. Why not kids who look lots better? Skirts, dresses and shorts that come to the knee have not been sold for 50 years. Remaining modest when bending over should cover that rule. The rest of the rules are fine - especially no underwear showing, but why mix sensible with silly?

I totally agree!!!! Public education is paid with my tax dollars and as a contributor of public education we have the right to create such rules and ensure they are enforced!!! It is about time!!!!

No disrespect by any means but go and volunteer at one of these schools and your attitude will change immensely!!! Furthermore, closed toed shoes are essential in the event of an emergency, fire, etc. I

Closed toe shoes make a lot of sense, but banning patterned fabrics and denim only puts a burden on the parents to provide clothing specific to school that they wouldn't usually wear outside of the classroom. Modesty is one thing, but some of these rules cause difficulty without good reason.

You reallllllly need to establish a rule that cleavage can not be showing. Who cares if I can see your shoulders? It's your boobs that need to stay INSIDE the shirt.

I read in the paper that our governor turned down federal funds for mosquito eradication. DoesRead More anyone know if our mosquito control units are underfunded from this terrible decision by Governor Dumb-a-ss?

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT
