Photos: Walls Emerge at the Highland Recreation Construction Site

The project has remained on schedule despite recent wet weather conditions. 

The contractor continues to work on the recreation building's foundation and block walls. Underground storm water drainage work has started on the eastern portion of the property. Steel work is expected to start this week, wrote Facilities Manager Glenn Harwood in the weekly city report.

The current facility and aquatics complex remain open during construction. Patrons need to use the  entrance because the Highland Avenue entrance is closed for construction.
