A new 80 resident senior community is planned for 1145 Ponce De Leon in Belleair. Seasons Belleair will be devoted to Memory Care. The community will open to residents in June 2013.

The state-of-the-art community for all stages of Alzheimer's and dementia will serve its residents, assist the families of its residents and provide community education opportunities, according to its management team.

The homelike environment is designed with a tremendous amount of natural light  and the latest techology for security and freedom of movement for its residents.

The facility is designed with zero-threshholds to help with fall prevention, said James Soper who is part of the project's management team.

Each resident will have a special fob to gain access to the gardens, satellite kitchens, art programs and other areas of the community. Plus, the fobs let residents know their location and allow for communication with the staff, Soper said.
