Pinellas County School Board Special Workshop

Members of the Pinellas County School Board and Superintendent John Stewart’s Cabinet meet in a special workshop today to discuss a possible administrative restructuring.

The conversation is expected to center on study conducted by the Florida Association of District School Superintendents. Stewart commissioned the study in November, according to a news release.

The report is available on the PCSB Newsroom web page.

Some issues in the report include confusion concerning whom to contact for information or assistance; job descriptions that do not portray an accurate picture of position functions; and a need for more staff development, the news release states.

Although board members are expected to discuss the findings following Stewart’s presentation today, no immediate action will be taken, the release states.
