Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder in Largo Fire, Deputies Say

Thomas Cservak, 29, of Clearwater, was arrested Sept. 26 on four counts of attempted first degree murder and one count of first degree arson, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has arrested Thomas Cservak, 29, of Clearwater, in connection with a house fire on South Lake Avenue in Largo earlier this month.

Three occupants of the home, including a 4-year-old child, told authorities they heard a crash right before they discovered a fire in the front of the home on Sept. 16.

Detectives say during the course of the investigation of the house fire, they developed information that Cservak allegedly committed an arson at the Largo home, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives can "only say that the fire was intentionally set as a result of a domestic related situation," according to a news release.

Cservak was arrested Sept. 26 in the late afternoon at a traffic stop at Highland and Drew in Clearwater. He was arrested on four counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of first degree arson. He is currently in the Pinellas County Jail.

The two adults and one child in the home at the time of the fire were not injured. The investigation continues.
