Layla, a seven year old boxer, was left alone for two weeks without food or water but appeared more gaunt than that, according to Largo Police.

A dog, left alone for two weeks in an apartment without food or water, appears to have not eaten for months, according to Largo Police.

Layla, a seven year old boxer, was left along for about two weeks without food or water in Christopher David Robalino’s unit at Somerset Apartments, according to a police report.

Robalino, 33, of Largo, asked a friend to watch the dog while he was not at home but that apparently did not take place, according to the report.

Layla was found outside the apartment by a neighbor Sept. 6. The emaciated animal appeared to have not eaten in months, police said. Her ribs and skeletal structure were clearly visible, investigators said.
