Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jack B. Woods, 36, two days after he allegedly stabbed his estranged wife at a private Seminole residence.
Early Sunday morning (Jan. 29) Woods allegedly approached the victim, Danielle Figgatt, outside of a home at 6272 113th Street North, according to deputies.
Woods allegedly stabbed her with an unknown object on the right hand side of the abdomen. Figgatt had a protection order against Woods, barring him from having contact with her, according to deputies.
Witnesses to the alleged attack carried Figgatt into the home, called 911, and placed pressure on her wound until emergency services arrived on the scene. An ambulance transported Figgatt to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of possible life threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office .
Bayfront Medical Center did not have Figgatt listed in its patient directory as of Feb. 1, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Witnesses and Figgatt identified Woods as the alleged attacker, according to deputies.
Woods was arrested Jan. 31 on charges of attempted felony murder and violation of injunction for protection from domestic violence. He was being held at Pinellas County Jail Wednesday (Feb. 1) morning and the total bond was set at $157,500, according to the sheriff's office.
