A Clearwater woman is accused of leaving the scene of an accident that injured one person in the East Bay Drive and Keene Road area Wednesday, according to a Largo Police report.
According to an arrest affidavit, Jennifer Lynn Fulford, 31, allegedly "caused a three car crash by striking the rear of a slowing car and then side-swiping another car. (Fulford) then fled the scene, going to a friend's house near by. She then exited the car and fled into the residence. She was followed by a witness who alerted police."
Fulford, who has a revoked license, reportedly denied driving the vehicle, but a witness confirmed Fulford was the driver, police said.
Fulford's probation status "prohibits her from driving in addition to committing criminal acts," according to the report.
The driver of the side-swiped vehicle was transported to Largo Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
Fulford was arrested on the charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, driving while license was suspended or revoked and violation of probation for sale of oxycodone. Bond was set at $11,000. Fulford was awaiting trial in Pinellas County Jail as of Jan. 24, according to online sheriff's records.
