Police: Woman Flees Scene of 3-Car Crash with an Injury

The Clearwater woman is accused of leaving the scene of an accident near East Bay Drive and Keene Road, according to Largo Police.

A Clearwater woman is accused of leaving the scene of an accident that injured one person in the East Bay Drive and Keene Road area Wednesday, according to a Largo Police report.

According to an arrest affidavit, Jennifer Lynn Fulford, 31, allegedly "caused a three car crash by striking the rear of a slowing car and then side-swiping another car. (Fulford) then fled the scene, going to a friend's house near by. She then exited the car and fled into the residence. She was followed by a witness who alerted police."

Fulford, who has a revoked license, reportedly denied driving the vehicle, but a witness confirmed Fulford was the driver, police said.

Fulford's probation status "prohibits her from driving in addition to committing criminal acts," according to the report.

The driver of the side-swiped vehicle was transported to Largo Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
