Police: Student Takes Dive Knife to School

A student at Largo High School forgot a dive knife with a more than 4-inch blade was in his backpack, according to Largo Police.

Viktor Stefan Struzinski, 18, of Clearwater, was taken to Joshua Wolfenden, an assistant principal, for using an e-cigarette on the way to class Aug. 22, according to arrest records.

Wolfenden searched Struzinski’s backpack and discovered a dive knife with a 4-and-3/8-inch blade, according to investigators.

Struzinski bought the knife three weeks earlier, put it in his backpack and then left it there, according to arrest records.

Struzinski was arrested and charged with possession of weapon on school property. He is in jail awaiting trial on $5,000 bond.
