A Walmart maintenance worker stole two Apple iPads to give as gifts to his wife, according to Largo Police.

Roberto Aramis Sanchez Ramos, 21, of Largo, hid two of the electronic devices in a trash cart and then put them in his backpack and tried to leave the store at 1111 N. Missouri Ave with them at 7 a.m. Aug. 13, according to investigators.

Sanchez Ramos was arrested and charged with theft of personal property by employee. He was released on $5,000 bond.
