Police: Man Hits On One Medic, Actually Hits Another

Michael Clay Dunaway was arrested and charged with battery on a firefighter/paramedic.

A Largo man hit on one Largo Fire Department medic before actually hitting another when they were called out to check on him recently, authorities said.

Michael Clay Dunaway, 40, was passed out on the sidewalk at the front entrance to the Brittany Bay Apartments, 1201 Seminole Blvd., July 20.

Dunaway woke up and started talking and flirting with a medic just before striking another in the chest around 4 a.m.

There was indication Dunaway was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Dunaway was arrested and charged with battery on a firefighter/paramedic. He was released on $5,000 bond.

This is not the first time a Largo Fire Department employee has been hit in the line of duty this year.
