Police: Largo Woman Bilked $50K From Bosses

Tracey Lewis took rent payments in cash and kept them for herself while working at the Bay Pointe Apartments, according to Largo Police.

A Largo woman skimmed a possible $50,000 while renting apartments, according to police.

Tracey Michelle Lewis, 46, allowed tenants to move into the Bay Pointe Apartments, 2770 Roosevelt Blvd., for free or reduced rent and took cash rent payments from tenants, keeping the money for herself while she worked there from December 2010 to July 2013, according to Largo Police.

Lewis admitted to taking about $10,000, police said. However, investigators have pegged the figure to be closer to $32,000 so far. The amount could be as much as $50,000, according to investigators.

Lewis was arrested and charged with scheme to defraud. She was released on $10,000 bond.
