Police Host Volunteer in Policing Academy

The next academy starts Sept. 11.

The Largo Police Department will be hosting another Volunteers in Policing
(VIPs) Academy.  Currently we have 54 Volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time to help our community.

Our volunteers perform a myriad of duties both at the Largo Police Department and throughout the community.  From helping out with administrative paperwork, to writing parking enforcement citations and directing traffic at crash scenes; our volunteers are a tremendous asset in the Largo Police Department's goal to provide superior service to our community.

The Largo Police Department will be hosting out Volunteer Academy #18
beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Those interested in becoming a Largo Police Department volunteer or wishing
more information may check the City of Largo website or contact
our Volunteer Coordinator, Dick Hageman at (727)587-6739.
