Police: Kitten Killed Instantly by Fence Throw

Shontia Niree James slammed a 15-week old kitten into a wooden fence, instantly killing the feline, according to Largo Police.

A 15-week-old kitten died instantly after a Largo woman slammed the feline into a wooden fence, according to Largo Police.

Shontia Niree James, 27, picked up the kitten which was sitting in a grassy area a few feet from her home near 2770 Roosevelt Blvd. at 2:18 a.m. July 22, according to police.

She threw the kitten against a wooden fence about an arm’s length away, immediately killing the feline, police said.

James admitted to using an overhand throw, which was seen by several witnesses, according to investigators.

James was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals. She was released on $2,500 bond.
