Police: Man Tries to Remove Woman's Clothing, Takes Phone, Money and Car

A man is accused of taking a phone, money and a car from a woman, according to arrest affidavits from Largo Police.

Jeffrey Thomas Macyowsky, 49, of Clearwater, is accused of entering a Belcher Road residence and taking a phone, money and car and pushing a female resident into a bedroom and attempting to remove her clothing, Largo Police said.

According to an arrest affidavit, the woman tried to "break free" and go into a living room. She saw Macyowsky "looking at the cash in her purse. (The victim) stated she believed (Macyowsky) wanted to rape her, and she told him to take her money instead," the affidavit states.

When the woman tried to call police, the suspect allegedly took her phone and told her not to. Macyowsky then allegedly took the woman's car keys and "fled outside, where he stole her vehicle as well," according to the affidavit.
