Update: Deputy U.S. Marshal Accidentally Shoots Self at Gun Range

An employee of the U.S. Marshals Service suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper leg at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office shooting range, officials said.

Updated, 2:06 p.m.:

A group of U.S. Marshals employees were conducting shooting exercises at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office gun range around 9 a.m. Wednesday when one of them suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper leg, according to a news release.

Officials are not releasing the name of the person due to their current work assignment. The person is a deputy marshal, a spokesperson told the Tampa Bay Times.

 

Earlier:

An employee of the U.S. Marshals Service was injured when a gun accidentally went off at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office shooting range in St. Petersburg, authorities said Wednesday.

Deputies were on scene at the gun range at 11700 34th St. N. in St. Petersburg on Wednesday morning, according to a news release.

The person was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, a sheriff's office spokesperson said.

No further information was immediately available.

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT
