One Injured in Largo Home Invasion

A suspect is still at large after two armed men invade an apartment in unincorporated Largo.

Largo police are searching for a suspect in connection with an armed home invasion that occurred at around 9pm last night.

Deputies say two men kicked in the door of an apartment at 13473 Rena Drive West in unincorporated Largo, forced ten people inside, and demanded a safe that was in a back bedroom. One male victim was beaten and pistol whipped after not moving fast enough. He was taken to the hospital, and his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

A female victim was able to hide in a closet and call the sheriff's office. When deputies arrived, the two suspects fled out the apartment's back door.
